4/4 Flying Angel Token, signed by Anson Maddocks
The original artwork for this token has a very personal story attached to it. It is the story of my brother, Jerry Howell, aka Smiley, who was a welder. October 7th, 2014 Anson flew from Seattle to Las Vegas to join me at my parent's house to meet them for the first time. That same evening we were woken from sleep by a Sheriff who came to notify us that my brother had been murdered in our hometown of Port Angeles WA.
Anson began creating this artwork while we were in Port Angeles awaiting the sentencing of the individual responsible for my brother's death. Anson never got to meet my brother but he was all too aware of how we suffered in the wake of his loss. He gave the original artwork to my parents as a gift, which they have proudly displayed on their livingroom walls.
This angel token honors the memory of my little brother whom I love with all of my heart and miss so terribly much.
