Anson Maddocks Art welcomes personalized one-on-one interactions with it's collectors and customers. You will be communicating with Brenda, Anson's business manager, allowing Anson to focus his creative energy in the studio.

SIGNING REQUESTS via mail

Anson will accept and sign your cards through the mail at the post office box address found at the bottom of this page.  Anson prefers to not charge a per card fee, but suggests a tip of

$2 per card for regular signatures, if included with your cards

$4 for metallic gold or chrome, if included with your cards

$5 for shadow signatures, if included with your cards

$10 for signing graded cards, if included with your cards. 

Anson also accepts non-cash tips for signatures. (See below under International Requests.) Please no personal checks. See pricing below for PayPal or credit cards. We reserve the right to return cards, unsigned, at our sole discretion.

Cards submitted for signing should be accompanied by either a self-addressed stamped envelope or funds for return postage. If your return envelope will be more than 10 oz in weight or more than 1/2 inch thick, please do not attach stamps, but instead include $5 for 1st Class return postage or $8 for Priority Mail.  PLEASE CREATE A CUSTOMER ACCOUNT VIA THIS WEBSITE IF YOUR CARDS WILL REQUIRE US TO PRINT A SHIPPING LABEL ON YOUR BEHALF. (This includes all international requests.) THANK YOU! If you have particularly valuable cards or a large number you wish to get signed, we recommend that you obtain insurance for the full value of your cards, but do not require it.  Please provide the total quantity and value when coordinating with Brenda and ask for a quote for additional insurance, if appropriate BEFORE placing your cards in the mail.  

International signature requests are now being accepted. Prior verification is no longer necessary. If you would like to tip with Euros, that is perfectly acceptable, or you may choose a more creative alternative! Anything which allows us to experience something which is unique to where you are from is great. We once received cards from a collector in Japan packaged with various delicious treats that we absolutely loved! It made the experience incredibly fun and far more interesting than getting money! (But money is still good too!)

Generally speaking, though, if you are outside of the US, you may want to consider coordinating with a number of your peers so that you can split the cost of the shipping expense. (Shipping is usually $20. For the protection of your cards, we return them in a rigid envelope which necessitates it being processed as a package.) Either way, you may send as few or as many cards as you wish at one time.  We currently do not have any quantity restrictions for signature requests.

Whenever possible and within reason, we will note how the cards were packaged upon arrival and send them back in the same manner. We take responsibility for the careful handling of your cards while in our possession and for their timely return . (If you have been kind enough to follow these guidelines, "timely" will be considered within 24-48 business hours.)  However, should you opt out of tracking and insurance for your return shipping you agree to accept full responsibility should any problems arise while in transit.

Again, we kindly ask that you PLEASE create an account with us on this website to facilitate the efficient return of your cards.  This ensures the return address is correct and also helps allow us to continue offering signatures on a tip basis rather than charging a higher fixed price.

 Electronic Payments UPDATE: While Anson still prefers the above method, we have recently changed our policy so that if you would like, you have an alternative to sending a tip with your cards. If you would like to make an electronic payment for your signatures, we request that your minimum order total be no less that $40. As well, the following pricing will apply to signature requests paid with electronic/online payments (PayPal, debit or credit cards, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, etc)

Regular signature: $6 each

Gold or Silver $12 each

Shadow signature: $15 each

Graded cards $30 each.

 

Unsigned Artist Proofs:   Anson signs all outgoing artist proofs before they leave his possession and will not sign artist proofs which have not been sourced directly from him.  However, if  you have an unsigned artist proof and would like it authenticated, you may want to consider sending it to us for artwork.  So long as they appear to be genuine upon in-person inspection; Anson is willing to accept commissioned artwork orders using unsigned artist proofs, which in effect, legitimizes them upon completion.  Artist proofs included with other cards for signatures only will be returned unsigned.
